The Ultimate NYC Girls' Weekend: Beauty, Brunch, and Big City Magic ✨

By Kelly Teague (@KellyStyleCo) featuring Kelly Jones (@Jonesingforit)

There’s just something about NYC. The second you arrive, it pulls you in—and for us, it turned into the ultimate girls’ weekend filled with beauty pop-ups, rooftop energy, iconic bites, wellness experiences, and photo ops on every corner.

I teamed up with my girl Kelly Jones for a magical 3-day adventure—and we made the most of every moment.

🥂Thursday Night: Welcome to the City
🥂Thursday Night: Welcome to the City

I landed at LaGuardia and headed straight to The Phillips Club to drop my bags—then it was go time.

We kicked off with dinner at Bad Roman, an upscale-meets-cheeky Italian spot in Columbus Circle.

We split:

  • Filet mignon meatballs (100% worth the hype)

  • Spicy Caesar

  • A limoncello + Diet Coke cocktail (new obsession)

  • A few other playful bites that matched the vibe

With lush interiors and buzzing energy, it was the perfect NYC welcome. We kept it low-key afterward—because Friday? She was full.

💪Friday: Sculpt, Shop, & Soak in the Scene

✨ Morning: SS Sculpt at Free People Movement Studio

We started our day strong at Free People Movement Studio. The class was SS Sculpt, which used light weights and ankle weights to skillfully tone the body in a low-impact, high-burn format. The energy was empowering, and the studio vibe? Pure wellness chic.

We couldn’t leave without checking out their latest collection. (Yes, we did a full outfit change in the fitting room for brunch. On brand!)

🥐 Midday: Ladurée Garden Brunch

Wow. Ladurée SoHo is more than a bakery—it’s a full sensory experience. Hidden behind the storefront is the most gorgeous French garden, where we enjoyed a dreamy brunch of:

  • Matcha lattes & champagne

  • Omelets & fresh greens

  • Raspberry tortes that tasted like vacation

This was such a content-worthy moment (you know we got the shot). ✨

💇🏽‍♀️ Friday Afternoon: Beauty, Skincare & Rooftop Vibes

💛 Squigs Pop-Up in SoHo

After brunch, we headed to the SQUIGS Summer Fruit Bash Pop-Up to try their latest beauty obsession—Gooseberry Delight Hair Oil. Squigs is an Ayurvedic-inspired brand focused on scalp health and gentle, fruit-powered ingredients. Think lightweight nourishment, shine, and scalp balance—without any harsh additives. The team was so kind, and the event was filled with color, fun, and community.

We popped around SoHo for a bit, then headed back to freshen up before my next self-care moment…

💆‍♀️ FaceGym Facial: A Beauty Essential

I booked a FaceGym facial and—let me tell you—this was unlike anything I’ve done before. Their signature technique involves facial massage and “face training,” using high-energy movements and sculpting tools to lift, tone, and detox the skin. It was like a workout for my face, and I left feeling refreshed, glowy, and snatched.

💃 Alo Rooftop Dance Class (Brooklyn)

Straight from skincare to sweat—we dashed to Alo Yoga's rooftop studio in Williamsburg for an evening dance class. The space overlooks Brooklyn and is filled with natural light, lush plants, and positive energy. We connected with fellow wellness lovers and danced as the sun began to set. The vibes were immaculate.

🌇 Dinner at Laser Wolf + Brooklyn After Dark

Dinner that night was at Laser Wolf—a rooftop grill with panoramic views of Manhattan. Between the open sky, the vibrant shareable dishes, and the city lights twinkling in the background, this meal was a core memory.

We devoured:

  • An endless spread of dips, pita, fresh greek chicken and Israeli salads

  • A round of cocktails and mocktails to celebrate the day

Afterward, we wandered the area to explore hidden gems and made our way back to recharge.

🌅 Saturday: Sunrise on the Brooklyn Bridge

At 4:30 AM, our alarms went off—and we made our way to the Brooklyn Bridge. And wow… it was magical. The bridge was nearly empty, the sky soft and pastel, and the entire experience was a moment of calm in the city that never sleeps.

Post-sunrise, we explored DUMBO, treated ourselves to local pastries (Almondine, Dawn's and Jacques Torres are must-visits!), and wrapped our trip with brunch by the water at Heineken River Deck. The breeze, the views, the vibes? Perfect send-off.

✈️ Sunday: Homebound (but Forever Changed)

Kelly flew back to Wilmington, NC, and I made my way to Long Island to visit family—and give my grandma a facial, of course. 💆🏼‍♀️

I’m still glowing from this weekend. Grateful is an understatement.

Final Thoughts & NYC Tips from the Trip

If you're planning a girls' weekend (or just want a recharge trip with beauty, food, and connection), here’s what I recommend:

✔️ Bad Roman – A fun, high-energy dinner spot

✔️ Free People Movement – For boutique fitness and chic activewear

✔️ Ladurée SoHo – A secret garden brunch haven

✔️ FaceGym – The ultimate glow-up facial

✔️ Alo Rooftop – For feel-good movement with a view

✔️ Laser Wolf – Rooftop dinner with unforgettable views

✔️ Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise – Non-negotiable

✔️ DUMBO + local bakeries – Explore, sip, and indulge

We took the subway and buses everywhere—it was efficient, affordable, and made us feel like locals. Just double-check stops and directions (trust me).

📲 Stay Tuned

I’ll be posting behind-the-scenes content, beauty reviews, and full recaps of each experience on Instagram. You don’t want to miss the visuals we captured—this was NYC at its finest.
